Originally released in two hand-stamped editions of 65 copies, Hiss Golden Messenger’s Big Sur 4.22.07 was recorded live at The Fernwood Lodge by Matt Cunitz. On this occasion, HGM personnel included Jai Lil Diamond, Scott Hirsch, Tim Bluhm, John Hofer, Matt Cunitz, and Patrick Main. Another stoney evening before the inevitable bloody mary morning. This recording is currently SOULED OUT. Recorded by Jai Lil Diamond and Scott Hirsch over a period of three years in various studios, lofts, and farmhouses in California, New York, and North Carolina, Country Hai East Cotton is Hiss Golden Messenger’s debut collection of wayward sky songs and burnt houseboat blues in hi-fi. Doc Snock says: Many megahits here. Packaged in a miniature gatefold cover illustrated by artist Nat Russell and printed on 100% recycled materials by Stumptown Printers in Portland, OR, each disk comes encased in a woven inner sleeve and a protective plastic outer sleeve. This release is limited to 500 hand-numbered copies. Available while supplies last.
